Huawei’s First-Ever Mate 70 Air Launching This Month: Ultra-Slim Under 7mm, No eSIM!

According to the latest leak from a well-known digital blogger, Huawei is set to unveil its first-ever “Air” model — the Mate 70 Air — later this month. The device is designed to impress with a stunningly thin profile measuring just 6.x millimeters, making it one of the slimmest phones Huawei has ever built.

Unlike Apple’s iPhone Air, Huawei’s version keeps support for physical SIM cards, offering a more convenient and user-friendly experience for users in the Chinese market who still prefer traditional connectivity over eSIM.

For comparison, the standard Mate 70 features a 6.7-inch screen and a thickness of 7.8mm, meaning the Air variant represents a complete redesign focused on lightness and portability.

Earlier rumors suggested that Huawei might debut its eSIM technology with the Mate 70 Air, but fresh reports now indicate that the first eSIM-enabled model will likely appear with the Mate 80 series instead.
