Not long ago, Red Magic launched a truly groundbreaking device — the Red Magic 11 Pro+, featuring a real water-cooling system.

On the front, it boasts a sleek full-screen display with no visible camera. On the back? A transparent rear panel revealing the liquid-cooling pipeline, making it one of the most visually and technically stunning cooling systems ever built into a smartphone.

Naturally, the question arose: if this new water-cooling system is so powerful, could it work on other phones too?

Well, someone actually decided to find out.

The Kingmi Mobile channel took the challenge seriously — they dismantled the Red Magic 11 Pro+ and transplanted its entire water-cooling system into none other than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, arguably the device most in need of better thermal management.

Once the water-cooling setup was installed, they ran performance benchmarks on the modified iPhone.

And the result? Surprisingly effective.

Before modification, the iPhone 17 Pro Max scored 2,456,045 on AnTuTu. After integrating the Red Magic’s water-cooling module, the score jumped to 2,652,045.

That’s roughly an 8% performance boost — nearly 10%, which is quite remarkable for just a cooling upgrade!

If this experiment tells us anything, it’s that next-generation domestic smartphones focused on performance should definitely consider water-cooling systems like this.

But there’s more — the story doesn’t end here.

After testing the “water-cooled iPhone,” the same creator decided to rerun benchmarks on the Red Magic 11 Pro+, without reinstalling its original water-cooling module.

Originally, before disassembly, the Red Magic 11 Pro+ scored 4,144,376 on AnTuTu. Without the cooling module, the score only dropped slightly to 4,124,867 — less than a 1% loss in performance.

So… that’s a bit puzzling, isn’t it?

Perhaps the secret lies not just in hardware, but in how the system is optimized as a whole — still, this daring experiment proves one thing: innovation thrives where curiosity meets courage.
