Huawei’s Most Affordable Foldable Ever!
nova Flip S Officially Launches with Kirin 8000 Processor
At the end of October, Huawei officially released the nova Flip S — its most affordable foldable phone to date — with a starting price of just 3,488 yuan. Despite its competitive price, this sleek little foldable comes packed with impressive specs, including the Kirin 8000 processor based on a 1+3+4 octa-core architecture, clocked up to 2.4GHz, and paired with a Mali-G610 GPU for smooth graphics performance.
According to early testers, the nova Flip S runs on the same Kirin 8000 chipset as the original nova Flip. The CPU configuration consists of one 2.4GHz Cortex-A77 performance core, three 2.189GHz Cortex-A77 mid cores, and four 1.84GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores — offering a balanced combination of power and efficiency.
The nova Flip S also introduces two fresh color options — Sky Cyan Blue and Feather Sand Black — and comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 5.1, delivering Huawei’s latest system experience. Beyond these updates, most of its hardware specifications remain consistent with the first-generation nova Flip.
Design-wise, the nova Flip S continues Huawei’s stylish aesthetic with a 2.14-inch square outer display (1:1 aspect ratio), supporting fun and functional features such as call animations, customizable wallpapers, cute pet widgets, productivity widgets, and real-time display windows. Inside, it features a 6.94-inch OLED main screen with a 2690×1136 resolution and 1–120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, ensuring a vivid and fluid viewing experience.
Powering it all is a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging, while photography is handled by a dual-camera setup — a 50MP main camera and an 8MP secondary lens — making it a compact yet capable companion in Huawei’s foldable lineup.
