November 5 — According to a report by Wccftech, AMD has released its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 (ending September 27). The company posted $9.2 billion in revenue, marking a 36% year-over-year and 20% quarter-over-quarter growth — a record-breaking performance that exceeded Wall Street expectations.
During the earnings call, Dr. Lisa Su, AMD’s CEO, officially confirmed that the next-generation EPYC processor, codenamed “Venice,” will debut in 2026. Built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm process and powered by the Zen 6 architecture, Venice has already entered lab testing, showing remarkable improvements in performance, power efficiency, and compute density. Leading cloud service providers are expected to be among the first to deploy the chip.
Su also revealed that AMD’s next-generation Helios solution, based on the MI400 architecture, will launch next year. It will deliver up to 40 PFLOPs of performance, feature 432GB of HBM4 memory, and offer 19.6 TB/s of bandwidth, making it a formidable rival to NVIDIA’s Rubin platform.
Looking ahead, AMD projects Q4 revenue of around $9.6 billion, representing a 25% year-over-year increase, topping market estimates of $9.15 billion. However, its adjusted gross margin is expected to remain steady at 54.5%, which analysts say contributed to a slight dip in after-hours stock prices.
With 2nm technology and Zen 6 architecture, AMD is strengthening its lead in high-performance computing — and Venice may once again redefine the standards of data center and cloud infrastructure performance.
