Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Book5 Edge, a laptop designed to meet the demands of mobile professionals and power users who rely on constant connectivity and long-lasting performance. According to a report from NotebookCheck on November 14, the new device focuses heavily on integrated 5G connectivity and exceptional battery endurance.

Compared with its predecessor, the Galaxy Book5 Edge has grown slightly in size. It measures 15.5 mm in thickness and weighs 1.66 kg, maintaining a sleek yet sturdy profile suitable for frequent travel.

The most significant upgrade comes in its network capabilities. Samsung has equipped the series with built-in 5G support, enabling users to enjoy high-speed internet access even without Wi-Fi. Thanks to its integrated 5G modem, the laptop can connect directly to cellular networks, making remote work and on-the-go productivity far more seamless.

To accommodate cellular connectivity, Samsung replaced the previous microSD card reader with a multifunction slot that now supports SIM cards. This gives the Galaxy Book5 Edge independent mobile network access, further enhancing its versatility outside traditional Wi-Fi environments.

Battery life is another major highlight. The laptop houses a 61.2Wh battery, and official figures claim it can deliver up to 27 hours of continuous video playback. Actual endurance will vary depending on usage, but the impressive rating positions the Galaxy Book5 Edge as a reliable companion for long workdays. The device also supports up to 65W fast charging via USB-C, minimizing downtime between charges.

The Galaxy Book5 Edge features a 15.6-inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution and a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X1-26-100 processor, offering eight cores, clock speeds up to 3.0GHz, and up to 45 TOPS of AI computing power to handle advanced workloads and AI-driven tasks efficiently.

Connectivity options are well-rounded, including two USB-C ports with USB 4 support, one USB-A port, and an HDMI 2.1 output. The device also supports the latest wireless standards, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring high-speed data transfer and stable wireless performance across modern devices.

The Galaxy Book5 Edge positions itself as a powerful, connected, and enduring choice for users seeking next-generation mobile productivity.
