Seventy-eight-year-old Liza Wang and her 79-year-old husband Law Kar-Ying registered their marriage in Las Vegas in 2009 after a 20-year relationship. The couple remains loving and close, often traveling together in recent years. Earlier, Law even appeared as a “mystery guest” on Liza’s travel show “Travel with Sister Liza”, where the couple toured Bhutan sweetly as a duo.

Today, Liza posted their first-ever wedding photos on Instagram, wearing traditional Bhutanese attire. Although they have been together for 36 years, the affection between them remains strong. In one photo, Law gently kisses Liza’s forehead as she appears in bridal styling, and the two share affectionate glances and joyful smiles.

Liza revealed that they never had a chance to take wedding photos when they registered their marriage in the U.S.:
“He often asked when we would make up for our wedding photos. This time, I didn’t tell him in advance because I wanted to see if the timing felt right. I didn’t expect it to happen in Bhutan. Not only did we manage to take the photos, but we also received blessings from a local master, along with warm celebrations from villagers. Their home-cooked food was delicious — it was truly unforgettable.”

Law admitted that taking wedding photos had always been a wish of his:
“I thought we should take them while we’re still relatively young and presentable. I even considered going to Korea for Western-style wedding photos. I didn’t expect my wish to suddenly come true in Bhutan, perhaps because I had casually mentioned it to the production team, and they secretly arranged it.”

He added that they received marriage blessings from a Bhutanese master, and several village women dressed up to welcome them, singing and inviting them to join a traditional dance. During the interview, Law suddenly held Liza’s hand and said emotionally, “My wish has finally come true, right?” leaving Liza momentarily speechless before she smiled and replied, “Yes, yes, yes.”

The couple first met in 1988 while performing “Mu Guiying Takes Command”. Over the years, Law had proposed many times but was repeatedly rejected. It wasn’t until 2009 that they decided to marry. Liza said that though their personalities differ greatly, she has grown more relaxed and humorous under Law’s influence, describing him as romantic while calling herself more realistic.

Law, who married at 62, said he felt lucky:
“To be able to marry her is fortunate for me.”
He expressed gratitude, saying Liza treats him better than anyone before. He also noted that her fame helped his career. While they have disagreements occasionally, he insisted their relationship is mostly loving. He added that he is not always compliant — for example, when Liza asks him to do house chores, he refuses because he believes “it’s not what a man should do.”
