(Beijing, 24th) The 44-year-old actress Fan Bingbing earned the Best Leading Actress award at the 62nd Golden Horse Awards on November 22 for her role in Zhang Xian’s film Mother Earth. Although she was not present at the ceremony, her acceptance speech delivered through a phone call became one of the event’s highlights. Earlier that day, she had shared photos of herself eating hairy crabs on Weibo, and it wasn’t until late on the 23rd that she posted a heartfelt message on social media, ending with a Malay phrase: “Saya sayang kamu semua banyak-banyak!” (I love you all very much) — drawing a flood of celebratory comments from fans.

Fan Bingbing posted photos of her Golden Horse trophy, her team, and moments from filming in Kedah, Malaysia. She said she stared at the four trophies sent to her by the director for a long time the previous night, feeling overwhelmed by emotions as memories of filming in Kedah resurfaced — the professional yet warm film crew, and the quiet, protective creative environment they shared.

She praised director Zhang Xian for his gentle and patient approach, saying she had never seen him raise his voice or show impatience. As an experienced film critic, he often expressed his passion for classic cinema. Fan noted that beyond his extensive knowledge and deep cinematic background, what impressed her most was his sincerity and reverence for filmmaking — qualities that earned her respect and complete trust.

Fan Bingbing thanked both the director and the entire Malaysian crew for their dedication and joy in their work, recalling the smiles they wore every day. “Your passion and devotion made this outstanding Malaysian film possible and created a small miracle. You helped show the world the persistence of Chinese-language filmmakers,” she wrote.

She added that during the wrap-up of filming, she had told the team that she would never forget the Malaysian crew filled with love for cinema. “Every day spent with you was incredibly warm, and those memories have become some of the most precious treasures in my heart.”

Fan ended her message emotionally: “Every challenge can be overcome, and after the storm comes the rainbow. The rainbow over Kedah will forever be the most beautiful scenery in my heart.” She once again expressed her love to the team in Malay: “Saya sayang kamu semua banyak-banyak!”, which received an outpouring of congratulations online.
