Malaysia’s prominent singing competition Astro Star Quest 2025 has officially entered a new phase as the highly anticipated Top 12 contestants are revealed. After an intense collaboration round, episodes airing on November 22 and 29 will showcase the contestants’ next major musical challenge.

The Top 12 contestants are: Danson Huang, EMI Siaw, Jack Lau, Jess Tan, Yip Hsiao En, Euzen Lim, Pang Yi Jun, Yang Hui Ying, Bryan Teo, Celine Chan, Lau Yi Xing, and HOW1E Ma.

Special guest Nicholas Teo made a surprise appearance as a “senior” mentor, delighting all contestants. He commented that compared to his own competition days, today’s contestants appear more polished and confident. He highlighted the importance of having personal identity and uniqueness as key qualities for a memorable performer.

Addressing concerns about career direction, Nicholas advised the contestants not to rush in defining themselves, but instead grow in a way that feels natural. He also shared tips on handling performance anxiety, stressing that rehearsals are more important than the actual performance, as they help build strong muscle memory.

In the upcoming round, contestants must perform assigned songs, focusing on storytelling and stage control. This crucial challenge will determine who advances to the Top 10.
