FAW-Audi Launches A5L QianKun Intelligent Driving Edition, Priced at 286,800 Yuan

During the Guangzhou Auto Show, FAW-Audi officially launched the Audi A5L QianKun Intelligent Driving Edition, the first fuel-powered model equipped with Huawei’s QianKun Intelligent Driving® technology. The model is priced at 286,800 RMB.

Lin Chun, Vice President of Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, stated, “Driver assistance isn’t perfect—but driving without it is no longer acceptable.” He noted that to meet market expectations, FAW-Audi and Huawei worked together to overcome four major technical barriers for intelligent fuel vehicles: limited communication bandwidth, slower power response, unstable power supply, and inefficient heat dissipation, enabling fuel cars to achieve EV-level intelligence.

With Audi’s VMM architecture and the E³ 1.2 electrical/electronic platform, the vehicle achieves gigabit-level data transmission to key execution units—including chassis, engine, and braking systems—providing precise control and breaking through long-standing limitations of fuel vehicle intelligence. Combined with Huawei’s QianKun Intelligent Driving®, the A5L delivers advanced assisted driving across city roads, highways, and parking scenarios.

Guo Yongfeng, Executive Deputy General Manager of FAW-Audi Sales Co., said that the launch marks a significant milestone in Audi and Huawei’s partnership and represents the first luxury brand to adopt QianKun Intelligent Driving®. He added that future Audi models built on the PPC fuel platform and PPE EV platform will also feature jointly developed advanced assistance systems.

The A5L QianKun Edition comes equipped with:

• 2 front-mounted symmetric LiDAR units
• 6 mmWave radars
• 13 cameras
• 12 ultrasonic sensors

This sensor array enables high-level driving assistance in both urban and highway environments, along with features such as trace-reverse parking, remote parking assistance, and OTA capability.

FAW-Audi also introduced a “A5L QianKun Intelligent Driving Ambassador” recruitment program, where the first 5,000 participants will receive a 3,000 RMB purchase bonus.
