On November 28, a netizen shared a delightful encounter with well-known host Li Jing in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. It turns out that Li Jing was not there for filming or work—this was a pure mother–daughter vacation with her 21-year-old daughter, Huang Muer.
Muer is currently studying film directing at New York University and is now a senior in her final year. Since she stayed in the U.S. during summer break for internships and didn’t return to China, Li Jing decided to use her daughter’s Thanksgiving holiday as the perfect opportunity to fly over and spend quality travel time together in Portugal.
Li Jing and her daughter have always shared a warm, harmonious relationship. Li Jing respects her daughter’s independence, and the two maintain open, effortless communication—something many parents envy. When they meet, conversations can run endlessly; there were even times when Li Jing felt exhausted and sleepy, yet Muer still pulled her in for more late-night chats.
In photos shared online, Li Jing is seen enjoying a hearty meal with her daughter. When fans recognized her and asked for photos, she responded gracefully and warmly—no frustrations about being approached while dining, only a friendly smile for her admirers. Muer appeared alongside her mother as well, both smiling radiantly and exuding an easy, approachable charm.
In close-up shots, Li Jing looks remarkably youthful. After losing more than 30 pounds over the past two years, her skin appears smooth, firm, and glowing—giving her the vitality of someone in their early 30s. It’s astonishing that she is actually 55.
Interestingly, during this family trip, there was no sign of Li Jing’s husband, Huang Xiaomao. Known for producing iconic hits like “Tong Zhuo de Ni” and “Shui Zai Wo Shangpu de Xiongdi,” and for igniting the mainland folk-rock trend alongside Lao Lang and Gao Xiaosong, Huang Xiaomao is a widely respected music producer with deep roots in the industry.
Li Jing and Huang Xiaomao met at a friend’s gathering, quickly entered a romantic relationship, and married within a year. Afterward, they welcomed their daughter, Muer.
Yet despite their enduring marriage, public displays of affection between them are rare. Browsing through Li Jing’s social media posts, most family trips tend to feature Li Jing, her daughter, and Li Jing’s mother — while Huang Xiaomao seldom appears in the picture.
It’s not even an exaggeration to say that Li Jing spends more leisure time with her long-time friend Dai Jun than with her husband. Many netizens still feel that Li Jing and Dai Jun are more like a true pair because of their deep mutual companionship.
Li Jing and Dai Jun have known each other for over 30 years. Beyond working together professionally, Li Jing genuinely enjoys traveling with him because Dai Jun is attentive, caring, and thoughtful in daily life. When they vacation together, Li Jing only needs to focus on having fun — he handles everything else.
Beyond being considerate, Dai Jun is humorous and witty. As Li Jing once remarked, being with him feels like having a constant source of joy beside her.
Interestingly, Dai Jun has never married, and for decades he has stayed by Li Jing’s side purely as a steadfast friend. In Li Jing’s eyes, his emotional presence is just as important as her husband’s. As she once described it: “Dai Jun has become a part of our family.” Their friendship is undoubtedly something many people deeply admire.
