Award-winning actor spotted partying at a nightclub; footage shows him interacting closely with several men.

(Shanghai) Korean actor Yoo Ah-in, 39, was sentenced in July to one year in prison with a two-year suspended sentence, along with fines, for long-term illegal use of anesthetics, marijuana, and other controlled substances. Although he avoided jail time, his entertainment career remains halted. Recent sightings, however, show that his private life appears relatively relaxed.

On November 30, a Chinese internet user recorded Yoo at Reborn, a bar located in Shanghai’s FOUND 158 district. Footage shows him wearing a cap and interacting closely with several muscular men — dancing, hugging, and briefly touching faces. The person who posted the clip also claimed he was seen sharing intimate gestures with different men.

On the same day, another individual reported encountering him twice in the locker room of a hotel gym in Shanghai, noting that Yoo appeared more muscular and in good spirits.

There are also unverified online rumors suggesting that Yoo’s partner might be from Shanghai.

Given China’s strict stance against drug-related celebrities, many netizens expressed shock at Yoo’s public outing, leaving comments such as “How dare he come to China?”, “Still being high-profile after drug scandals?”, and “Stay away, too much baggage.”

Reports from South Korea indicate that from September 2020 to March 2022, Yoo repeatedly used propofol — known informally as the “milk injection” — claiming medical reasons, totaling 181 instances. He was also accused of obtaining approximately 1,100 prescription sleeping pills between 2021 and 2023 by using another person’s identity.

In 2023, Yoo was suspected of using marijuana in the United States and encouraging others to do so. Later, he was also alleged to have attempted to help acquaintances evade investigation. Additionally, he faced an accusation last July involving non-consensual contact, but prosecutors dropped the case due to insufficient evidence.
