On December 3, the Wilderness Survival Challenge Finals in Qixing Mountain, Zhangjiajie entered Day 10, and the competition witnessed another emotional turning point—two popular contestants, Wencheche and Linbei, both withdrew on the same day.

Originally, 14 participants qualified for the finals, but the road has been full of twists:

• “Old Chinese Doctor” was disqualified before the match for hiding a thin rope inside his shoe insole.
• “Jiandi” and “Kanghaiwan” withdrew due to health issues.
• Yesterday, “Scar Brother” exited the competition after severe stomach problems and is now hospitalized.

Today, two fan favorites followed:

Wencheche, from Baoji, Shaanxi—nicknamed “the most handsome man in the wilderness”—announced his withdrawal, stating that his goal had already been achieved. However, his physical condition deteriorated with diarrhea and abnormally low heart rate. He emotionally expressed how much he missed home: “I miss Baoji, I miss my mom’s spicy oil-splashed noodles, the lamb soup, the shaved noodles, and of course my wife and kids waiting on the warm kang bed.”

Linbei, a 25-year-old university student and the youngest finalist, who went viral earlier for confessing to his girlfriend during the challenge, also left the competition in tears, ending his journey on Day 10.

Why Day 10?
According to the final-round rules:

• Contestants earn 2,000 RMB for every completed 10-day cycle.
• If they survive the full 10 days without elimination, they qualify for double rewards.
• If they quit or fail within the cycle, they only receive the basic 2,000 RMB.

Thus, both Wencheche and Linbei leave the wilderness with only 2,000 RMB.

Now, only 8 contestants remain in the final battleground, fighting for the 200,000 RMB grand prize. The wilderness is proving far harsher than anyone imagined.
