WTT Announces Partnership With TVB: Hong Kong Finals Broadcast Set to Showcase 1500-Point Showdown of World Table Tennis Elite

The WTT Hong Kong Finals will take place from December 10–14, 2025, at the iconic Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom. As the season-ending event of World Table Tennis, the tournament features three disciplines—men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed doubles—with a total prize pool of USD 1.3 million. Champions in the singles categories will also earn a massive 1500 world ranking points, making this one of the most valuable events of the year.

With just three days to go, the full entry list has been officially confirmed. Sixteen men’s singles players, sixteen women’s singles players, and eight mixed doubles pairs are set to compete, bringing the world’s top contenders together for a thrilling finale in Hong Kong.

Yesterday, WTT announced that TVB has become the official broadcast partner of the 2025 Hong Kong Finals. From December 10–14, TVB will offer free-to-air and online live coverage across Hong Kong, ensuring fans throughout the region can enjoy the action in real time.

TVB—Television Broadcasts Limited—was founded in 1967 by Sir Run Run Shaw, Yu Ho and Harold Lee. As Hong Kong’s first free-to-air television station and the world’s largest commercial Chinese-language broadcaster, TVB has accompanied generations of viewers with its timeless dramas and entertainment. With its unmatched reach and popularity, TVB is the perfect partner to bring this year-end spectacle to fans across the city.

Within WTT’s senior event structure, the Finals hold a pivotal position. Featuring an elite field, limited events, generous prize money, and high-value ranking points, the competition offers outstanding appeal for both players and spectators. The format is compact, the match schedule is manageable, and the viewing experience is intense yet enjoyable.

For the Chinese national team, the lineup includes Wang Chuqin, Lin Shidong, Liang Jingkun, and Xiang Peng in the men’s singles. In women’s singles, Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Kuai Man, Chen Xingtong, Wang Yidi, Chen Yi, and Shi Xunyao will compete. Two pairs—Lin Shidong/Kuai Man and Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha—will represent China in mixed doubles.

Outside the Chinese team, the men’s singles draw features standout international stars such as Hugo Calderano (Brazil), Truls Möregårdh (Sweden), Tomokazu Harimoto and Hiroto Shinosuke Matsushima (Japan), the Lebrun brothers and Simon Gauzy (France), as well as Dang Qiu and Benedikt Duda (Germany).
In women’s singles, the major challengers include Miwa Harimoto, Mima Ito, Hina Hayata, Miyu Nagasaki, Honoka Hashimoto, and Shin Yubin.

These entries also reflect the current global landscape: women’s table tennis remains heavily dominated by players from China, Japan, and Korea, who collectively occupy much of the world’s top 20. The men’s field, in contrast, shows greater parity and unpredictability, making each match a compelling contest. Looking ahead, the race toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics is set to be even more exciting.

In mixed doubles, international contenders include the Japanese duo Miwa Harimoto/Hiroto Matsushima and the Korean pair Shin Yubin/Lim Jonghoon.
