December 7, IT Home News — Beijing Transcender, the only private enterprise officially approved for a national-level commercial crewed spaceflight program, announced today that the CYZ-1 (Chuan Yu Zhe No.1) crewed spacecraft test capsule has fully entered the final assembly stage. All major subsystem installations are progressing steadily and on schedule.
At present, Transcender has successfully completed the simulated assembly of several critical systems, including the onboard pneumatic system, the measurement and launch control system, and the ground-based pressurization support system. In parallel, a comprehensive set of technical documents—such as process specifications and operational manuals—has also been finalized, laying a solid foundation for the next phase of testing and integration.
According to the company, the landing buffer system is a highly complex structure composed of multiple key components. Recently, all structural components related to the pneumatic system have been fully installed. These will support upcoming validation tests of the core landing buffer technologies and play a crucial role in advancing the breakthrough of the innovative “cloud-sensing landing” technology.
IT Home also learned from official sources that the CYZ-1 test capsule features a full-scale return cabin with a diameter of approximately four meters and a height of about three meters. As China’s first attempt in the commercial crewed spaceflight sector, its larger size and heavier mass present significantly higher demands on system design, integration, and manufacturing precision, marking an important leap forward for the nation’s commercial aerospace ambitions.
