According to a December 9 report from IT Home, citing Xinhua News Agency, China successfully launched the Yaogan-47 remote sensing satellite at 11:41 a.m. today from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center using a Long March-4B carrier rocket. The satellite smoothly entered its designated orbit, marking the complete success of the mission.

The Yaogan-47 satellite will be widely applied in critical areas such as national land surveys, urban planning, road network design, agricultural yield estimation, environmental management, and integrated disaster prevention and mitigation. Its deployment will further strengthen China’s capabilities in earth observation and data-driven governance.

This mission also represents the 614th flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets, once again highlighting the stability, reliability, and maturity of China’s space launch system.
