SEVENTEEN’s Dino, DK, and Joshua serenade fans with live a cappella, turning the fan meeting into a mini concert

(Kuala Lumpur, 15th) K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN members Dino, Joshua, and DK appeared at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Sunday as MISTER POTATO brand ambassadors for the “Jinjaa Crunch” fan meeting, drawing a massive crowd of CARATs. The mall was packed inside and out, with long lines stretching from the central atrium up across multiple floors—creating a concert-like atmosphere.

Some fans reportedly queued overnight to secure the best spot. When the trio arrived at around 3 p.m., the venue erupted in loud cheers. Even as the host tried to start the interview segment, the crowd’s excitement remained high, prompting Dino, Joshua, and DK to smile and repeatedly gesture for everyone to “calm down” and lower the volume so the program could continue smoothly.

Despite SEVENTEEN not attending as a full group this time, the three members delivered plenty of fan service. They learned simple Malay phrases—such as “Apa khabar,” “Mantap,” and “Sedap”—to greet fans and lighten the mood. During the talk, they also shared behind-the-scenes stories from their commercial shoot: DK jokingly admitted he asked staff for an entire box of chips to take home, while Joshua agreed it was “so good you can’t stop.” Dino, known for loving spicy flavors, said he prefers the spicy variety—then explained that he drinks water while eating not because he can’t handle spice, but simply out of habit. During a photo moment with the chips, the members were even caught sneaking bites, fully embracing their “foodie” side.

The biggest surprise came when they spontaneously sang a cappella snippets of fan-favorite tracks like “Happy Virus,” “Thunder,” and “God of Music,” instantly turning the fan meeting into a mini concert as CARATs sang along. Responding to fans calling for a show in Malaysia, the members said they would work hard to include Malaysia on a tour—and promised that next time, all members would come together.

Joshua, who turns 30 on the 30th of this month, was also celebrated on-site as fans sang him a birthday song in both Malay and Korean. He thanked everyone sincerely and shared the group’s promise to return to Malaysia soon to meet fans again.
