Serving as a presenter at Macau’s Golden Xuan Awards, Lai Yu-Han meets idol Andrew Lau backstage

(Macau, 24th) The awards ceremony for the 4th Aollywood International Television Festival’s Golden Xuan Awards was held in grand fashion in Macau last Monday (15th). Lai Yu-han was invited to serve as a presenter, joining Chinese director Huo Meng to present one of the evening’s highly anticipated honors: “Global Most Promising Actor.”

The award ultimately went to young actor Li Xiahe, recognizing his standout performance and solid acting in the drama series Legend of the Que Dao Men (Season 2), which received strong affirmation from the jury.

Notably, director Huo Meng recently won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival. Sharing the stage with him also underscored the Golden Xuan Awards’ mission to promote international screen-industry exchange and bring together diverse film-and-television talent.

During the ceremony, Lai also interacted with several prominent figures from the global entertainment industry. Backstage, he had a surprise encounter with renowned Hong Kong director Andrew Lau—best known as a key force behind the Infernal Affairs franchise—and took the opportunity to snap a commemorative photo.

In an official photo session, Lai also posed together with acclaimed Thai actress Woranuch Bhirombhakdi, capturing a rare moment of cross-regional cultural exchange.

With the successful conclusion of the 4th Golden Xuan Awards, the festival once again highlighted its role as an important platform connecting Asian and international creators, opening up further possibilities for collaboration across the region’s screen industries.
