Jay Chou Hugs Hannah Quinlivan Tight in a Sweet PDA Moment — A “Picasso Original” on the Wall Sparks Buzz Over Its Sky-High Price

Despite a busy schedule, Jay Chou still shares glimpses of his daily life with fans from time to time. On the 24th, he posted an intimate photo with his wife, Hannah Quinlivan. While the couple’s sweet moment drew attention, many viewers ended up focusing on the Picasso artwork hanging nearby—and even dug up an eye-catching auction figure. The piece was reportedly sold at a Christie’s auction in late 2018 for US$137,500 (approximately RM560,000), sparking plenty of discussion online.

In the photo, Jay wears a bright pink-and-blue patchwork knit jacket as he wraps both arms around Hannah, who is dressed in black-and-white. The two lean closely beside a lavishly decorated Christmas tree, smiling warmly at the camera in a scene filled with festive holiday vibes.

Beyond the PDA, Jay also highlighted the artwork on the wall. In his caption, he wrote: “On Christmas Eve, Picasso drew Santa Claus.” Rendered in playful, crayon-like lines, the drawing shows Santa holding flowers. Jay used the piece to send holiday wishes as well, adding: “Colorful flowers make blessings shine across the whole world.”

According to the account, the drawing was created by Picasso on Christmas Eve as a gift for friends. An inscription in the upper-left reads “pour Gilberte et Serge” (“for Gilberte and Serge”), referring to Gilberte Duclaud and Serge Chauby, owners of Cannes gallery Galerie 65. As Picasso was close with them, he reportedly sketched the childlike Santa as a festive present.
