Are Felix Wong and Kwan Bo-wai’s Relationship Moving Forward? Simon Yam Spills: “Soon.”

(Hong Kong, 23rd) Veteran Hong Kong actor Felix Wong, 64, has rarely appeared in public since his wife passed away from illness in 2020. In recent years, he has repeatedly been linked by rumors to Kwan Bo-wai, 59, though neither has admitted to a relationship. A newly aired interview segment has reignited the chatter after Simon Yam teased that things are “soon.”

In the “Q&A” portion of the talk show One Week Stars, Kwan appeared via a pre-recorded video question. The moment Yam heard her name, he joked: “A Manchu girl—wasn’t she involved with ‘Wah Gor’ (Felix Wong)? I really hope she and Wah Gor will have a relationship.”

After answering her question, Yam went on to praise Kwan for being full of “positive energy,” adding that her love life was “pretty much blank.” When host Wong Chun-chuen asked him to wish her well in finding a partner, Yam replied: “I think it should be soon!”

Yam also added, “Sister Bo-wai has started liking football,” prompting the host to say he sensed “hidden clues.” With the World Cup approaching, Yam was asked who he usually watches matches with; he named Chan Pak-sang, Alan Tam, Felix Wong, and others, including some football-team members. He ended by giving two thumbs up to the camera and shouting, “Sister Bo-wai!” in support.

Rumors about Wong and Kwan date back to 2021, when they were reportedly seen having private meals twice within two weeks and took close-looking photos together. Kwan had also publicly described her ideal partner—such as wearing glasses, not preferring an older-woman/younger-man relationship, but being open to divorced individuals—conditions some observers felt matched Wong, fueling speculation.

At the time, both Wong’s daughter Huang Zhijing and Kwan herself denied the rumors. In 2023, however, online claims resurfaced alleging Wong had successfully proposed to Kwan. Wong responded with a line meaning “the real should be said; the false isn’t worth mentioning,” and clarified he had never said he would “never remarry.” Kwan, for her part, previously said the rumors led Wong to distance himself from her, which she found troubling.
