On December 27, the Ping Super League men’s team semifinals concluded, with Shandong Weiqiao defeating Shanghai Real Estate 3-0 to reach the final. Wang Chuqin secured a key point by beating Zhao Zihao 3-0 in the second match. After the game, Wang expressed his determination not to end 2025 with two withdrawals, motivating his participation in the finals.
Wang won 11-9, 11-6, 11-5, helping Shandong Weiqiao take a 2-0 lead and eventually advancing 3-0. Despite withdrawing from the WTT Hong Kong Finals due to injury, Wang overcame pre-match fitness concerns and showed strong form. He said: “I don’t want to leave any regrets or end 2025 with withdrawals, so I came to compete and give my best.”
He also praised his team: “Our cohesion is excellent. Everyone has number-one-level skills, and we share the same goal. Our coach has trained us tightly, and we are all striving for the championship.” Teammate Lin Yun-Ju added: “We practiced a lot to get a good feel. I started cautiously but adjusted quickly.” Liang Jingkun said: “It’s been a while since we paired, a bit nervous at first, but we’ll give everything in the final.”
Fans flooded social media with encouragement: “Chuqin, rest well and stay healthy!” “Such a responsible player! Well done, Chuqin!” “See you in the final!”
Shandong Weiqiao will face Huangshi Huaxin in the final, and Wang Chuqin is set to continue carrying the team’s hopes for the title.
