A 1–0 Win Reshapes the Title Race: Serie A Top Four Separated by Just Four Points

Serie A Round 17 delivered a pivotal clash as Inter Milan traveled to face Atalanta. Inter entered the match with 11 wins from their first 15 league games, firmly establishing themselves as one of the main title contenders. However, recent cup disappointments—defeats to Liverpool in the Champions League and Bologna in the Italian Super Cup—added pressure ahead of this league encounter. Against an Atalanta side valued at nearly €400 million, Inter edged out a narrow but crucial 1–0 victory.

Inter lined up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Marcus Thuram partnering Lautaro Martínez up front. Atalanta pushed late for an equalizer but failed to convert their chances.

With the win, Inter moved to 36 points and reclaimed top spot in Serie A. AC Milan sit second with 35 points, followed by Napoli on 34 and Juventus on 32. With just four points separating the top four, the Serie A title race has become intensely competitive.
