On December 29, Wang Chuqin, Liang Jingkun, Huang Youzheng, Zhou Qihao, Yu Ziyang, Lin Yunru, and other players attended Shandong Weiqiao Club’s New Year Gala. Representing the athletes, Wang Chuqin delivered a speech wishing all staff a “Happy New Year, good health, family happiness, and all the best.”

During the group photo session, staff arranged for Wang Chuqin to sit at the center spot (C-position), but he warmly offered it to an elder staff member and seated Liang Jingkun beside him. When the host suggested Wang take the center, both he and Liang insisted on keeping the original seating, showing thoughtfulness and humility.

Wang has repeated such gestures at the Chinese Super League finals, National Games, and Asian Championships, often giving the center to teammates or non-playing members while standing to the side himself. At the Shandong Weiqiao signing event, he humorously guided Liang Jingkun to his autograph board, creating a cheerful atmosphere.

This season, Wang Chuqin played over 150 matches, covering men’s singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and team events, even completing the CSL finals while injured. He collected 15 titles: 6 men’s singles, 5 men’s team, 2 men’s doubles, and 2 mixed doubles, including his first major championship in the three biggest tournaments.

In interviews, Wang stated he plans to take a break from the spotlight to rest and recharge for the 2026 season. As coach Ma Jihua noted, Wang is at a crucial stage of his career, needing balance and recovery to reach the next peak.
