In the early hours of December 29, Algeria defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations. Riyad Mahrez scored the only goal as Algeria secured 6 points from 2 group matches, becoming the third team to qualify for the round of 16. Goalkeeper Luka Zidane started both matches and kept consecutive clean sheets, showcasing remarkable consistency.

At 27, Luka is the most talented of Zinedine Zidane’s four sons and currently plays for Spanish Segunda División side Granada. In September, he chose to represent Algeria internationally and made his debut in October’s World Cup qualifiers.
