According to domestic media “Yuedi Football,” Zhejiang’s foreign player Owusu has reached an agreement with Shenzhen New Pengcheng and is currently completing the transfer formalities. This officially rules out any move to Tianjin Tigers. Previously, Owusu had been closely linked with Tianjin Tigers, and many media speculated he would join them after the club decided not to renew Ademi’s contract.

Ademi, a talented striker, left Tianjin Tigers after his contract expired. Since joining in the 2024 season, he has been pivotal in key matches, helping the club finish 6th for two consecutive seasons and earning the Golden Boot. Known for both scoring and creating chances, Ademi’s departure left a gap many fans hoped Owusu could fill under coach Yu Genwei.

However, Shenzhen New Pengcheng acted swiftly and secured Owusu, leaving some fans disappointed. Owusu holds dual nationality with Ghana and the Netherlands and is eligible for naturalization. After another season and a half in the Chinese Super League, he could be naturalized and partner with Zhang Yuning in the national team.

Under the guidance of Shenzhen New Pengcheng’s young coach Chen Tao, Owusu will take on a key attacking role. Fans eagerly anticipate that this Golden Boot striker will reach new heights and bring exciting performances to his new club.
