Xiaomi POCO M8 Specs Leak: Sleek, Water-Resistant Design with Plenty of Standout Features

On January 3, IT Home reported that Xiaomi’s POCO brand will officially launch the POCO M8 series on January 8. Ahead of the debut, international e-commerce platform Flipkart has already revealed a number of key specifications for the new device, giving fans a clearer look at what to expect.

According to the promotional materials, the POCO M8 will feature a 6.77-inch 3D curved OLED display with a 1080 × 2392 resolution. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. POCO is positioning it as one of the most durable 3D curved-screen phones in its class.

Durability is a major theme here. The device is said to meet MIL-STD-810H standards, enabling it to handle extreme heat, dust exposure, impacts, and a variety of everyday accidents. It also comes with IP66-rated water and dust resistance, plus Wet Touch 2.0, allowing the screen to remain usable even when your fingers are wet. Flipkart’s listing also highlights drop resistance up to 1.7 meters.

On the design side, the POCO M8 goes for a slim and lightweight build. It measures just 7.35mm thick—claimed to be the thinnest POCO phone to date—and weighs only 178g, making it easier to carry and more comfortable for long-term use.

Separately, based on earlier information cited by IT Home from GiaChina, the POCO M8 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It may come with 8GB of RAM, storage options up to 512GB, and is positioned to cover everyday performance needs along with light gaming. Powering the phone is a 5,520mAh battery, paired with 45W wired fast charging for quicker top-ups throughout the day.
