(Hong Kong, Jan 2) The long-awaited film A Step Into the Past premiered on the 31st and has reportedly been performing strongly at the box office in the days since, with the cast maintaining a packed promotional schedule. However, online chatter emerged today claiming that lead actor Louis Koo may have felt unwell and missed part of the day’s roadshow appearances, with some posts even alleging he was hospitalized—prompting concern among fans.

A fan account on social media claimed Koo “was hospitalized and absent from today’s roadshow,” while other netizens said that at one event, Raymond Lam mentioned that “Daddy” was unwell and could not attend (a nickname linked to their “father-son” roles in the film adaptation of The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber). There were also unverified claims that Koo had appeared at an earlier stop in Foshan wearing a mask and seeming unwell, but was absent from later sessions, which were reportedly completed by Lam, Justin Cheung, and Jessica Hsuan.

As of now, the information circulating is based largely on fan posts and online accounts, and no official statement has been made by Koo or his team. Many fans have posted messages wishing him a speedy recovery.
