(Hong Kong, Jan 7) Chan Lan, widely known as “Xiang Tai” and the wife of Hong Kong film mogul Charles Heung, has been sharing personal views and life experiences on social media in recent years. In a recent video themed around the “gold-digger” discourse, she addressed online discussions about Moka Fang, the wife of Aaron Kwok, and dismissed rumors about so-called “socialite training classes.”

According to overseas media reports, Xiang Tai first spoke up in defense of Fang, saying much of the online backlash stems from jealousy. She argued that Fang “has done nothing wrong,” and is simply “a bit luckier,” adding that Fang appears to genuinely love Kwok and is willing to take on major family responsibilities.

Regarding the widely circulated claims of “socialite training schools,” Xiang Tai rejected the idea outright, questioning who would even be qualified to teach such a concept and what truly defines a “socialite.”

As for rumors about “gold-digger courses,” she strongly criticized them, stating that moving up socially depends on personal growth and self-improvement—not on questionable, sensationalized training programs. She also suggested that people seeking to learn practical skills could turn to more realistic methods, such as using AI tools for learning and development.
