Tablets have long been criticized as “oversized smartphones”—similar in function but rarely capable of fully replacing a laptop. To address this gap, Huawei introduces the MatePad 12 X (2026), positioning it around “PC-level productivity” for work and creative tasks.

The MatePad 12 X (2026) comes preloaded with PC-level WPS Office 3.0, supporting advanced features such as editable charts, formulas, and rich document elements. Cross-file operations allow pasted charts to remain editable, while direct file attachments improve workflow efficiency and collaboration.

It features a 12-inch ultra-clear PaperMatte display with third-generation PaperMatte technology. Using high-precision nano-etching, the screen significantly reduces glare and reflections, delivering smoother visuals and improved comfort for extended use. Powered by HarmonyOS, the tablet supports robust multitasking for work and study.

With a slim 5.9mm body and a combined weight of approximately 863g (tablet, keyboard, and pen), it remains highly portable. When paired with the Smart Magnetic Keyboard and a mouse, the device transforms into a compact mobile workstation for efficient multitasking across documents, spreadsheets, creative tools, and communication apps.

The tablet houses a 10,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging, enabling long hours of productivity and quick recharging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and NearLink for faster and more stable connections, while Turbo Mode boosts overall performance for smoother multitasking.

For creators, the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro offers 16,384 levels of pressure sensitivity, low latency, and enhanced motion sensing. Gesture controls and interchangeable pen tips further enhance precision and flexibility for writing and drawing.
