1 月 27 日訊息，Meta 旗下 Reality Labs 的裁員再次將 VR 行業推上輿論風口。Meta 上週削減 Reality Labs 10% 的員工，約 1000 個崗位，大部分集中在 VR 專案，包括 Quest VR 頭顯和虛擬社交平臺 Horizon Worlds。業內人士直言：VR 行業似乎正在進入“寒冬期”。

過去十年，Meta 一直是全球虛擬現實產業的核心推動者。2014 年收購 Oculus，2021 年更名為 Meta，將“元宇宙”作為戰略核心。然而，自 2020 年底以來，Reality Labs 累計虧損已超過 700 億美元（約人民幣 4870 億元），迫使 Meta 縮減 VR 投入，將資源轉向 AI 和智慧眼鏡。

從元宇宙核心到戰略降級
Meta 表示，Reality Labs 的資源將重新分配到 AI 與可穿戴裝置上，例如 Meta Ray-Ban Display 智慧眼鏡。這一舉措意味著 VR 不再是 Meta 的“唯一答案”，開發者也明顯感受到行業降溫。

VR 開發者的真實感受
長期為 Horizon Worlds 創作的開發者 Jessica Young 表示：“就像 VR 進入了一個冬天。”團隊縮編、工作室關閉，許多中小開發者的生存空間被壓縮。VR 市場降溫也在 IDC 資料中有所體現：2025 年 VR 與 MR 頭顯出貨量預計下降 42.8%，而 AI 智慧眼鏡出貨量將增長 211.2%。

VR 向企業市場轉型
儘管消費市場低迷，VR 在企業應用仍有潛力。蘋果 Vision Pro 在企業培訓、遠端協作和設計場景中表現良好，三星、Valve 等公司也在推進新一代 XR 裝置。企業級 VR 市場“增長緩慢但方向明確”，在製造、醫療、教育和工業培訓領域展現清晰的 ROI。

VR 或許不再是炙手可熱的消費產品，但技術價值依然存在。當資本熱潮退去，VR 正在迴歸理性，向長期、穩健的發展方向前進。
