A Subtle Dig at Cristiano Ronaldo? Talisca Accuses Al Nassr of Forcing Him Out for “Scoring Too Many Goals”

On January 30, Brazilian forward Talisca launched a public attack on his former club Al Nassr, claiming he was pushed out not because of declining form, but because he “scored too many goals” and ended up blocking someone else’s path.

The comments came in response to remarks made by Al Nassr president Majed, who said: “Talisca is a great player, but the issue was that he was often substituted. Among the fans, some saw him as a core figure, while others didn’t feel his departure was something to regret.”

Talisca responded strongly, arguing that Al Nassr’s new structure has become increasingly driven by commercial considerations, leaving no room for him in the project. “Statistics don’t lie,” he wrote. “I am the fifth-highest scorer in the club’s history. My connection with Al Nassr is already part of its legacy.”

He went on to explain that he was among the first players to join Al Nassr at the dawn of its new era, witnessing firsthand the club’s transition from a traditional model to a fully commercialized powerhouse. According to Talisca, that shared history with the club and its supporters was never properly respected.

“To make such statements without telling the full truth is deeply disrespectful to Al Nassr’s fans,” he added.

The most explosive revelation followed. “They forced me out, saying that I scored too many goals and got in the way,” Talisca claimed, adding that the club even pressured him to submit a transfer request himself.

He did not explicitly name who he was supposedly blocking, but at the time, the only player with greater global stature in the squad was Cristiano Ronaldo. As a result, many have interpreted Talisca’s comments as a veiled reference to the Portuguese superstar.

To reinforce his stance, Talisca highlighted his record at Al Nassr: 77 goals, 17 assists, direct involvement in 93 goals, and a key role in winning the Arab Club Champions Cup—numbers he believes speak louder than any narrative.
