Xiaomi Auto’s January Deliveries Drop Over 20% Month-on-Month; Reports Say First-Gen Xiaomi SU7 Has Been Discontinued

IT Home reported on February 1 that Xiaomi Auto has released its January 2026 delivery figures. Deliveries for the month exceeded 39,000 units, marking a noticeable pullback from the more than 50,000 vehicles delivered in December 2025—an over 20% month-on-month decline.

Addressing the reasons behind the slowdown, a source close to Xiaomi Auto told National Business Daily that the drop is largely tied to the phase-out of older models. According to the source, the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 has already been discontinued, and the production line at Xiaomi’s auto plant is now fully focused on preparing for the next-generation SU7.

Xiaomi’s founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun also commented today, noting that the SU7 is set to receive an update soon, and that current deliveries are primarily centered on the YU7.

Lei Jun added that a small number of YU7 units—including in-stock and display vehicles—remain available for delivery before the Lunar New Year, encouraging interested customers to visit stores and consult sales advisors.

Earlier, on January 7, Xiaomi Auto announced that pre-orders for the next-generation SU7 had opened. The new model will be offered in three variants, with pre-sale prices set at RMB 229,900 for the Standard version, RMB 259,900 for the Pro, and RMB 309,900 for the Max.

Compared with the previous SU7 lineup, the next-generation SU7 sees price increases of RMB 14,000 for both the Standard and Pro models, and RMB 10,000 for the Max variant.
