A Lunar New Year romance starring Li Yuen Ling and Yuen Teng—festive short drama “Wealth Arrives, Fortune Arrives: Love Arrives” now streaming across all platforms.

A festive Mandarin short drama blending romance, comedy, and Chinese New Year vibes, Fortune Arrives, Love Follows stars Lee Yuan Ling and Yuen Teng in leading roles. The series is now officially streaming on Millennium Media’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok platforms, using both vertical and horizontal formats to reach wider audiences.

The drama marks Millennium Media’s third short drama production and is entirely Malaysian-made—from scriptwriting and filming to editing, music, costumes, and accessories—highlighting the strength of local creative talent.

The story centers on He Yu Ting, a homestay owner who has distanced herself from love after past heartbreak. Her quiet life is disrupted when her ex-boyfriend Wang Jing Sheng returns to “Fortune Town” for business negotiations, forcing both to confront unresolved emotions, responsibilities, and life choices.

Director Chan Wai Cheong said the team deliberately avoided overused tropes. “Short dramas are often labelled as ‘melodramatic’, but we wanted to prove that audiences will still watch if the storytelling feels fresh.”

Lee Yuan Ling joked that her biggest challenge was holding back laughter during scenes with Yuen Teng, while Yuen Teng described the project as a meaningful reunion with the director after more than a decade.

At the premiere, Millennium Media founder Lim Kim Seng said the company sees short dramas as a strategic growth opportunity, investing heavily in training local teams to build long-term content capabilities.
