Veteran former TVB actor and Best Actor winner Ha Yu, now 80, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since finishing TVB’s Heart of Greed 3 in 2017, enjoying a relaxed semi-retired life. He was recently spotted in Hong Kong in a rare public appearance—showing up in Tsim Sha Tsui to support longtime friend Lo Hoi Pang at a concert—prompting renewed attention to his current condition.

According to local reports and footage from the venue, Ha Yu looked stylish and energetic. He wore a black baseball cap with red “CCB” lettering, paired with a maroon casual jacket over a black T-shirt—simple, clean, and youthful.

Observers noted he appeared in excellent spirits, smiling throughout and looking notably refreshed. His cheeks looked fuller than before, giving him a slightly “well-fed” look, while his rosy complexion added to an overall healthy, lively appearance.

Ha Yu previously lived in Canada during retirement, but reportedly returned last year and purchased a home in Jiangmen, China, to settle down for the long term. He also shared the decision on social media, receiving supportive comments from fans. Earlier, he reportedly satisfied his acting itch by joining friends such as Michelle Yim and Tse Suet Sum in a short drama titled Yi Cheng Storm, and appeared even more rejuvenated afterward.
