(Hong Kong, Feb 12) TVB Best Actor Moses Chan (Ma Tak Chung) recently announced his departure from TVB and a stronger focus on the mainland China market. He has now revealed that he will hold a concert in Guangzhou in April, along with a newly released promotional poster.

The poster shows the 57-year-old in a stylish black outfit, highlighting his fit physique. Titled “Moses Chan Moment Concert · Guangzhou,” ticket prices range from RMB 188 to 488. The top VIP ticket is priced below RMB 500 and includes a fan photo benefit, making it relatively affordable compared with many other concerts.

The announcement sparked mixed reactions online. Some netizens were surprised to see him cross over from acting to singing and questioned whether he has enough original material for a solo concert, with comments like “Does he even have songs?” Others were more blunt, suggesting it’s simply a money-making move.

Chan has, however, released music before—issuing EPs in 2003 and 2006, and performing several drama theme songs. One of his best-known tracks is the duet “Cry With You (Only Me)” with Charmaine Sheh, an ending theme for When Heaven Burns / East of the Rainbow. Sheh also said in an interview that Chan invited her as a guest performer, and she would be happy to support if scheduling allows.
