Tozhu Announces P1P 3D Printer Will Be Discontinued, Service Support to Continue Until 2031

Tozhu officially announced that its classic consumer 3D printer, the P1P, will be gradually discontinued. The company, however, confirmed it will continue providing comprehensive service support for up to five years, including software updates, security maintenance, and spare parts supply.

The P1P, designed as an “affordable” model for home users, small studios, and maker communities, quickly became a favorite among DIY enthusiasts due to its open mechanical structure. It has inspired numerous secondary developments and personalized modifications within the 3D printing community.

As the P1P phases out, its successors—the P1S and the more advanced P2S—have gradually taken its place as the preferred consumer-grade options. Tozhu emphasized that this decision optimizes the product lineup and enhances market service efficiency. The P1S will continue production and sales, and most P1P parts are compatible with the P1S, ensuring continuity for current users.

Service commitments include:

• Until November 14, 2027: software and firmware bug fixes and functional updates;
• Until November 14, 2029: ongoing security patches to ensure safe operation;
• Until February 2031: continuous supply of P1P spare parts and uninterrupted technical support via official channels.

Tozhu stressed that these measures will provide P1P users with a stable and reliable experience while enabling the company to focus on upgrading its P1S and P2S product lines.
