(Seoul, March 21) Global supergroup BTS made a powerful full-group comeback after 3 years and 9 months, holding BTS COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. All seven members reunited on stage, with the concert simultaneously streamed worldwide via Netflix, igniting global excitement. The one-hour performance featured new tracks from their album ARIRANG, including Body to Body, Hooligan, and SWIM, alongside global hits like Butter, MIC Drop, and Dynamite, prompting massive singalongs.
Despite performing with an ankle injury and a cast, leader RM remained on stage, with members frequently interacting with him—showcasing their strong bond.
A lighthearted moment occurred when V mistakenly said, “This is our last concert,” prompting RM to laugh and respond, “We just came back after four years—how could this be the last?” V quickly corrected himself to “last song,” drawing laughter from the crowd.
Members shared heartfelt messages: Jimin teased upcoming tour plans, Jungkook expressed unity—“No matter what, the seven of us are always one”—while RM concluded, “Whatever happens, we’ll keep moving forward together.”
During the encore, thousands of fans lit up the venue with phone lights, creating an emotional atmosphere. The group repeatedly thanked fans and reminded them to return home safely.
The comeback holds deep significance for BTS. Members admitted they feared being forgotten during their hiatus and faced internal struggles. j-hope shared that the album reflects their thoughts and concerns, while SUGA spoke about re-evaluating their direction. RM described it as a turning point, choosing to follow his inner voice.
Holding the concert at the symbolic Gwanghwamun Square added deeper meaning. V expressed hope that fans worldwide could feel their sincerity, while Jimin said, “It’s truly happiness to stand together as seven again.”
The event hosted around 22,000 attendees, with approximately 15,000 personnel ensuring safety. Broadcast across nearly 190 countries via Netflix, it marked the platform’s first-ever live concert for a single artist.
With this full-group return, BTS not only answered fans’ long wait but reaffirmed their unity and status as a global powerhouse.
