(Taipei, March 29) Taiwanese entertainment icon Jacky Wu made a powerful return to the stage after eight years, performing two consecutive nights at the Taipei International Convention Center with his “2026 Smelly Men Tour Concert.” The shows were filled with nostalgia—and a heartfelt connection to one of his most famous protégés, Jay Chou.
In a playful gesture, Jay Chou sent a congratulatory flower stand that read: “Congrats on the concert! Curious which of my songs you’ll sing, haha.” The message quickly sparked buzz among fans and added warmth to the occasion.
During the concert, Wu reminisced about the early days when Jay Chou was still his music assistant. He recalled telling him, “Write 50 songs, and I’ll pick 10 for you.” To his surprise, Chou delivered—and despite skepticism from others at the time, Wu chose to give him a chance, recognizing his undeniable talent.
Addressing long-standing speculation about their relationship, Wu used the film The Unwritten Law as a metaphor, before making an emotional declaration: “I truly love Jay. In my life, I only asked one thing of you—and you did it. You are very filial, and I admire you. It was my honor to work with you. No one has the right to hurt you.”
He then performed “Three Days and Three Nights,” a song co-created with Chou, becoming visibly emotional and even tearing up on stage—creating one of the night’s most touching moments.
