(Hong Kong, March 30) Legendary filmmaker and actor Stephen Chow recently shared photos of himself playing snooker with Chinese professional player Zhao Xintong, instantly bringing back memories of his iconic film The Legend of the Dragon.

In the photos, Chow is seen dressed casually with a white cap, leaning over the table with full concentration as he lines up a shot, while Zhao watches attentively beside him.

Chow captioned the post with his signature humor: “I’ve always been happy to guide others in different sports, but today a lost lamb asked for my help in snooker. Unfortunately, his talent is too poor, and I’m powerless. I hope he focuses on creative work and women’s football instead, and gives up snooker soon.”

Just as fans thought he was teasing Zhao, Chow revealed the twist: “The above is what I read from Zhao Xintong’s diary,” tagging the player and turning the joke around.

Zhao responded playfully by posting their photo and writing, “Finally learned the super spin,” along with monocle emojis—a direct reference to Chow’s exaggerated move in The Legend of the Dragon.

The witty exchange delighted fans, blending cinema nostalgia with real-life interaction and showcasing the humor and chemistry between the two.

Zhao Xintong is one of China’s top snooker players, known for his attacking style. He made history in 2021 by winning the UK Championship, becoming the first Asian champion in the tournament’s history. He recently added another title at the 2026 World Grand Prix, further cementing his rising status.
