At 39, Zhang Xue has rewritten his destiny — rising from extreme poverty to building a company valued at over 1 billion RMB.

His journey reads like a script: dropping out at 14 to work as a mechanic, chasing a reporter for 100 km at 19 just for a chance to be on TV, and starting a business in Chongqing in 2013 with only 20,000 RMB.

After co-founding KOVE in 2017, he left with almost nothing and launched his own brand. Today, his motorcycles have won back-to-back titles at WSBK, propelling him into the spotlight. Looking back, he simply says: “You made it.”

What defines his success is not resources, but relentless drive. His philosophy is blunt: “If it won’t kill you, push it to the limit.”

Yet, his advice to young people is surprisingly grounded:
“If you’re not worried about money, follow your passion. If you are, focus on making money first.”

In a media interview, when asked about product improvements, he jokingly said, “You’re setting me up,” before smoothly shifting to highlight strengths — revealing both sharp instinct and communication skill.

His story is extraordinary, but his mindset is pragmatic: go all in — but not blindly.
