Lee Hong-gi surprises fans at wedding banquet, appears makeup-free with effortless charm

(Kaohsiung, April 5) Lee Hong-gi, lead vocalist of popular Korean band FTISLAND, made a surprise appearance at a fan-organized banquet on April 4, just a day before his concert at the Kaohsiung Music Center—creating a heartwarming moment of mutual appreciation.

According to Taiwanese media, local Primadonna (fan club name) crowdfunded a spring banquet titled “Lee Hong-gi’s Leading Ladies Celebration,” with 22 tables and 232 attendees. Each fan paid around NT$1,200 (approx. RM150). Originally joked as a “wedding without the groom,” the event turned unforgettable when the “groom” himself suddenly showed up, sending the room into screams.

Appearing in a casual, almost bare-faced look, Lee stayed for about 15 minutes. He sampled the dishes and chatted warmly with fans. When excitement left many too stunned to eat, he casually reminded them to “go ahead and start,” acting like a relaxed host of the event.

One of the organizers, Liona, revealed they had only invited him via Instagram DM without expecting a reply. In a video, Lee was seen asking, “Why did you organize this?” Fans replied, “Just for fun,” to which he laughed and said, “You gathered this many people just for fun?” His effortless, laid-back charm left fans completely charmed.
