Recently, Chen opened up about her family dynamics, revealing that she had personally intervened in several of her son Jacky Heung’s past relationships.

Speaking candidly, she explained that she stepped in when she felt certain relationships were driven by material interests rather than genuine affection. She noted that some partners had made repeated financial demands, which she found concerning—especially as her son was still young and not yet financially established at the time.

Chen described her son as kind-hearted and somewhat naive, which made him more vulnerable in relationships. She added that her positive relationship with Bea Hayden is not something she takes for granted, emphasizing that strong in-law relationships are built over time through understanding and mutual respect.

Recalling their first meeting on a television program, Chen shared that they quickly connected, attributing it to their compatible personalities and shared zodiac sign. She described their relationship as natural and comfortable, with clear boundaries and mutual appreciation.

To illustrate this, she shared that even when living in the same building, family members would check in via message before visiting each other, rather than intruding unannounced. Ideally, she suggested, living nearby but separately helps maintain both closeness and independence.

Finally, she emphasized the critical role of the husband in maintaining harmony: “A man must take responsibility and not avoid the situation. Often, neither the mother nor the wife is wrong—it’s up to him to mediate and take responsibility.” She concluded that accountability and communication are key to a balanced family dynamic.
