Continuing an unfinished legend — Ice Lake Rebirth premieres on iQIYI International

(Kuala Lumpur, April 10) The historical drama Frozen Lake Rebirth has officially premiered on iQIYI International. As a continuation of Princess Agents, the series expands on the original storyline, diving deeper into the emotional and political conflicts between Chu Qiao, Yan Xun, and Zhuge Yue following the pivotal “Battle of the Frozen Lake.”

Starring Li Yunrui, Huangyang Diantian, Zhang Kangle, and Li Xiaoqian, with special appearances by Xia Meng and guest roles from Wang Zixuan and Sheng Yilun, the drama features a strong ensemble cast.

The story follows Chu Qiao’s journey of survival and transformation after the frozen lake incident, weaving a narrative of betrayal, revenge, loyalty, and resilience. Once a slave girl saved by Yan Xun, their bond was strong—but as ambition and power reshape him, Yan Xun ultimately manipulates Chu Qiao into a deadly scheme, using her as bait to assassinate Zhuge Yue. Amid the chaos, both Chu Qiao and Zhuge Yue fall into the frozen lake, altering their fates forever.

After being rescued and learning the truth, Chu Qiao vows revenge. Meanwhile, Yan Xun returns to Yanbei a changed man, descending from a spirited youth into obsession and instability. Former allies turn into enemies, and emotional ties are torn apart under the weight of war and political intrigue.

As the plot unfolds, Chu Qiao resists Yan Xun’s relentless pursuit while secretly searching for Zhuge Yue, believing he is still alive. During her battles, she is repeatedly saved by a mysterious figure—later revealed to be Zhuge Yue himself, who survived the fall and has been living in hiding.

Through trials and hardship, Chu Qiao ultimately forges her own destiny, leading armies to restore peace and rising as a revered ruler. Alongside Zhuge Yue and her allies, she stands firm in protecting her people and homeland.

As a sequel to a hit IP, the series not only fills narrative gaps left by Princess Agents but also intensifies the emotional conflicts between its central characters. Themes of betrayal, revenge, and loyalty intertwine, elevating both the dramatic tension and emotional depth of the story.
