Jisoo’s Brother Faces Allegations of Assault and DUI — Reported Arrest Footage Sparks Public Attention

(Seoul, April 18) The older brother of Jisoo from BLACKPINK has once again been linked to a serious controversy involving alleged sexual misconduct, drawing widespread public attention in South Korea.

According to reports by Channel A, a man in his 30s with the surname Kim was recently arrested by Seoul’s Gangnam Police on suspicion of attempted sexual assault and drunk driving. While the media did not disclose the individual’s identity, the description “a family member of a well-known female idol group member,” along with blurred images, led to speculation online regarding his identity.

The report claims the man allegedly paid approximately KRW 3 million for a meeting with a female livestream host (BJ). After dining and drinking together, he was accused of inappropriate physical contact and attempting assault at his residence. The woman reportedly escaped to a restroom and contacted a friend, who alerted the police.

According to the alleged victim, the man had initially promised there would be no physical contact. Police footage shows the suspect questioning his arrest and denying attempted assault, while admitting to some level of physical interaction. Authorities are currently investigating the case and considering whether to pursue further legal action.

It is important to note that no official confirmation has been made regarding the suspect’s identity. While online speculation continues, such claims remain unverified.

Separately, the same individual was previously linked to allegations in 2025 involving unauthorized recording of intimate content, though those claims were later removed online and were not formally substantiated.
