(Taipei, April 19) Taiwanese artist Show Lo recently became the subject of a bizarre death hoax claiming he had “suddenly died at home,” shocking fans. His management quickly denied the rumor, and he personally appeared at an event on April 19 to reassure the public and share updates on his health.

Attending a press event at a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, Show Lo opened with humor, saying, “I’m still alive. If I had really died at home, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Addressing the rumor, he said he was stunned, revealing he was actually playing basketball when friends began flooding him with messages. “If this were real, do you think I could still reply?” he said, questioning why people would believe such an unknown source. He even checked the rumor himself and joked, “According to that person, many people have died — I’ve apparently died twice already.”

When asked if he was angry, he calmly responded, “Not angry, but it caused quite a bit of trouble. My manager received many calls.” He added that friends even teased him by asking whether he was “a spirit or the real person,” leaving him amused.

Regarding his health, Show Lo confidently stated that he is in “very good condition.” He shared that he undergoes annual health checkups every July and regularly maintains his well-being through traditional Chinese medicine.

He admitted he still occasionally indulges in sweets and had previously faced high cholesterol due to fried foods, but has since adjusted his diet and lifestyle.

Speaking about weight management, he noted that everyone has their own effective method, but rebound weight gain is common. He shared advice from his doctor: eat in moderation and lose weight gradually, as rapid weight loss can negatively affect both appearance and physical strength.

He also revealed that, in addition to preparing for concerts, he is currently working on three new songs, hinting at more projects to be announced later this year or next.
