(Redmond, 7th) Microsoft has announced plans to further advance its system refresh initiative this October, alongside the rollout of a new wave of automatic upgrade mechanisms.
According to the company, eligible devices will gradually receive the Windows 11 25H2 update. The system will automatically download the update files, while users can choose when to install them.
This update will leverage machine learning to enable “intelligent rollout,” expanding availability to all eligible Windows 11 Home and Pro devices currently running version 24H2.
Even without user interaction, the system will determine the optimal timing to push the update, aiming to enhance efficiency and user experience.
For users concerned about disruptions to work or study, updates can still be managed manually via the “Windows Update” page, with the option to install and restart at a convenient time.
It is worth noting that this automatic upgrade does not apply to enterprise-managed devices. Systems controlled by corporate IT departments will follow their own deployment schedules and are not subject to mandatory rollout.
