With the Chinese Basketball Association awards officially announced, most results were expected—but the absence of three standout players raised eyebrows: Guo Haowen, Wang Haoran, and Goodwin.

Guo Haowen led domestic players in scoring with 20.6 points per game and carried a heavy offensive load following key roster changes. While his three-point shooting remains inconsistent, his ability to create offense was crucial. However, being categorized as a forward during voting significantly reduced his chances, which may have cost him a spot in the awards.

Wang Haoran also delivered a breakout season, improving from a marginal role last year to a consistent scoring option with 16.3 points per game. During a 15-game winning streak, he averaged nearly 20 points with outstanding shooting efficiency. Despite earning national team training opportunities, he was overlooked for the Best Team selections.

As for Goodwin, his omission was equally surprising. Since joining, he has transformed his team’s offensive structure, leading the league in assists and serving as a key playmaker. Although he missed out on official recognition, his impact remains undeniable.

While none of the three secured awards, their performances suggest they remain vital contributors—and potential game-changers heading into the playoffs.
