Actress Yang Mi recently experienced a minor accident while filming. On April 27, she took to Weibo to share photos of a facial injury, believed to be a low-temperature burn caused by a steam eye mask, leaving visible red marks around her right eye.

Currently filming the costume drama Jiangshan Datong, she posted an image showing two clear red lines under her eye. Keeping her usual lighthearted tone, she joked, “The steam eye mask bit me,” suggesting the incident occurred while she was using it to relieve fatigue between shoots.

Following the post, fans expressed concern, with comments like “That looks painful” and “Take good care of your face,” while others questioned the safety of such products. Similar incidents have been reported before—actress Zhang Xinyu once shared her experience of a similar burn from a steam eye mask, noting that such injuries may not be immediately noticeable but can take time to heal.

In response, Yang Mi’s studio stated that the injury has been treated by professionals and is not serious. They also reminded the public to use such products carefully. The studio later reposted her update with a humorous caption, calling her “a sister ambushed by a steam eye mask,” sparking further discussion online.
