After 30 Days of Preparation, Shao Long to Debut First Solo Concert From the Heart on August 9

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 – Malaysian singer and television host Shao Long is set to stage his first-ever solo concert, Starting from the Heart, on Aug. 9, taking on the ambitious challenge of preparing the entire production in just 30 days.

Throughout the month-long preparation, Shao Long has been personally involved in every aspect of the show, including music arrangements, original songwriting, stage concepts and visual production, determined to transform his long-held vision into reality.

He admitted that the biggest challenge has not been the limited time, but constantly pushing himself beyond his own limits.

"Every morning I wake up knowing there's still so much left to do. Before going to bed, I remind myself that dreams should never lose to excuses," he said.

Explaining why he chose to complete the concert preparations within just 30 days, Shao Long said he no longer wanted to wait for the "perfect moment."

"Instead of telling myself 'one day,' I'd rather make today the day my dream truly begins."

Carrying the theme, Dreams belong not only to the most successful, but to those who are willing to start again after every setback, the concert will unfold through chapter-style storytelling, combining music, dance, multimedia visuals and theatrical staging to portray a journey of dreams, struggles, uncertainty, growth and rebirth.

Besides performing fresh renditions of well-known songs, Shao Long will also debut his original compositions live for the first time. He has also promised a special on-stage announcement involving a life-changing decision that he will reveal to the audience who have supported him throughout his journey.

Starting from the Heart Concert 2026 will be held on Aug. 9 at 6pm at An Livehouse in Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are priced at RM200, RM80 and RM50. More information is available through the organiser's official platforms.
