(Hong Kong, June 29) TVB has officially announced four additional lead cast members for its upcoming sitcom Home Sweet Home: Three Generations, One Home, which premieres in August. Joining previously announced stars Christine Ng, Jinny Ng and Joey Lee are Regina Ho, Chiu Chun Shing, Hau Chun Hei and Lee Wai Kin.
Lee Wai Kin, best known for his fan-favourite role as Terry in Come Home Love: Lo and Behold, returns with the same English nickname while portraying Cho Ka Chung, the younger brother of Christine Ng's character and the beloved great-uncle of Joey Lee's character. Caught between three generations of women, he often becomes the comic relief in family quarrels.
The character remains cheerful and childlike while pursuing his passion as an amateur comic artist. Off-screen, Lee is also an accomplished cartoonist who has published several popular comic series and contributed illustrated stories to previous Come Home Love productions.
Rising singer-actor Chiu Chun Shing, who gained popularity through Midlife, Sing & Shine 3, takes on his first sitcom leading role as Yeung Fan, a marketing strategist who believes "any publicity is good publicity." His rivalry with Jinny Ng's character in the workplace is expected to deliver plenty of laughs.
Hau Chun Hei plays Yeung Fan's younger brother, Yeung Kwong, whose kind-hearted personality stands in stark contrast to his calculating sibling. He later joins forces with Jinny Ng's character in their ongoing battle against his brother.
Meanwhile, Regina Ho makes her sitcom debut as Chu Yuen Yuen, an ambitious office strategist who hides her sharp tactics behind a charming smile. The role marks a major departure from her previous gentle image. In real life, Ho graduated with first-class honours in business from City University of Hong Kong and participated in exchange programmes at Stanford University and the University of Leeds.
Centred on themes of female empowerment, generational differences and the impact of artificial intelligence, the sitcom follows a devoted housewife who decides to rediscover herself after years of putting her family first. She returns from Canada to live with her single-mother daughter, setting the stage for a heartwarming and humorous family story. The series premieres in August and airs every Monday to Friday at 8pm on TVB Jade.
