(Singapore, 14 Sept) Malaysian singer-songwriter Firdhaus officially kicked off his new “The Earth Is Flat” concert tour at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last Saturday (12 Sept), delivering a two-and-a-half-hour show and even heading into the audience twice to interact with fans.
Firdhaus opened the concert with his new song “Muhammad Ali”, marking his first attempt at a singing-and-dancing performance. Joking about his lack of dancing talent, he admitted that he had already made a mistake during the opening number.
Throughout the night, he performed fan favourites including “Alaska Bay” and “Life Goes Up, Up, Down, Down, Down?”, while sharing some of the struggles he had faced over the past few years.
Firdhaus revealed that online criticism had once left him afraid to go out and uncertain whether he would ever fulfil his dream of performing in a major arena. He thanked his team and fans for continuing to support and encourage him through difficult periods.
He also admitted that the massive success of “Alaska Bay” brought pressure and anxiety, as he worried that he might never create another song with the same impact.
One of the night's highlights saw a lucky female fan invited on stage to perform “My Type” with him, creating plenty of laughter with their playful interaction. During the encore, Firdhaus headed to the second-floor seating area, singing among fans and posing for selfies.
Reflecting on his journey from performing for around 200 people four or five years ago to standing in a major arena today, Firdhaus said he has learned to appreciate what he has in the present.
He also revealed that a tour was not originally part of his plans for 2026. However, when the opportunity arrived, he decided to embrace it and give his best.
The Kuala Lumpur stop of Firdhaus’ “The Earth Is Flat” Tour 2026 will take place at 8pm on Saturday, 19 September at Unifi Arena. Tickets are priced from RM99 to RM669, with only limited seats remaining.
